Mimicking the sound of a chicken in distress, KAHKAACK,
Maria Ginzgeymer, attained an A’ level in art and later pursued her studies at MCAST Institute for the Creative Arts. She is currently reading for a B.A. in Fine Arts.

Maria is interested in the intersection of psychology and art, approaching it through her background in fine arts at post-secondary and tertiary level, with an attitude of keen interest in learning more about the people around her and herself.

Her current work involves monochromatic paintings, their use in the expression of inner emotional states, and how this contrasts with similar expressions in photography and through installation work.

Maria also attended classes including ‘Human Figure Nude’ at Malta Society of Arts (MSA) under Jesmond Vassallo (2021) and ‘Academic Drawing’ led by Luca Cauchi (2017).

Past experience includes participating in ‘Xrar’ Visual Arts Expo (2018) in which she exhibited a collaborative tapestry piece tackling the themes of migration and inclusion.
